Friday Family Outing

Tomorrow night, the Nicholes' Family will be returning to the stands at Rice-Eccles Stadium to cheer ReAL Salt Lake on to victory, as they take on their Rocky Mountain Cup rivals, the Colorado Rapids. After a long August break, with a win tomorrow, RSL will be one win away from where they were just a few weeks ago: 1st Place in the Western Conference.

Fordy, of course, will be diligently searching the crowd for signs of Leo the Lion, his favorite member of the team. Ev will be trying to eat everyone's snacks and drink all of their drinks. Krys will be trying to keep him nearby. And I will be yelling and shouting, and perhaps even booing (but only if justified). I hope to get some photos that we can post this weekend of all of us in our gear. There are a few things in this world that bring a tear to my eye every time: watching movies such as Cool Runnings and Rudy, hearing either of my favorite national anthems--#1) The Star Spangled Banner and 2) Isten áldd meg a Magyart, Everett pulling my chest hair out, and seeing my wife in her baby blue RSL shirt and my boys in their officially certified replica ReAL Salt Lake home jerseys.

As we generally sit on the fourth row behind the North Goal, we're always close enough to grab the promotional handouts, but we seldom actually catch any of the prizes that are thrown into the stands. Wish us luck for tomorrow, we've got two enthusiastic sons who may want mini soccer balls or Zion's Bank key chains.

No mention of how you get to sit on the 4th row behind the North Goal, how rude! Thanks for mentioning me! Love ya!

P.S. Awesome blog!

I have a goal to see a professional soccer game in my lifetime, it sounds like alot of fun. Always good when you can mix your family with your favorite sport.
